Meyer Beefalo Farm

We offer Beefalo by quarter, half, or whole animal.  

Beefalo is processed at a custom processor in Faribault, MN.  

Note: We do NOT ship our meat products anywhere. Pick up is at our processor in Faribault, MN.

Beefalo meat available as of 3/09/2026:

Beefalo (Burger Bundles packaged in 1 lb. bags) – We only have 2 each 40 lb. burger bundles left for early July 2026. Price for 40 lb. bundle is $333.20 plus process fee of $90.00 = total $423.20. Price for 80 lb. bundle is $666.40 plus process fee of $180.00 = $846.40. Deposit required is $90 per 40 lb. bundle or $180 per 80 lb. bundle.

Beefalo (Steak Animals) – We have 3 qtrs steak animals left for 2026: 1 qtr in Aug , and 2 qtrs.in Sept. Price is $5.50 per lb. hanging weight plus processing fees calculated by the butcher. Deposit required is $187 per quarter, $375 per half, $750 per whole animal.

Terms & Conditions

You can purchase our beefalo by half, or quarter animal (all quarters sold as split side). We also sell beefalo burger animals by 40 or 80  lb. bundles.    Here’s how it works:

You obtain an order form from us and mail it to us with a non-refundable deposit (check only) for $187 per quarter beefalo or  $90 per each 40 lb. of beefalo burger to hold your order. Once we receive your deposit and order form, we will place you on our schedule.  One week prior to the appointment date, we will send you a notice giving you the appointment date, and if ordering a quarter, half, or whole steak animal, will provide a range of dates for you to contact the butcher to let them know how you want your meat cut up. If ordering beefalo burger, no action will be required; your burger will be processed in 1 lb. burger bags.

Once the animal goes into the butcher, we will obtain the hanging weight (HW) and email you an invoice for the meat. Payment must be received within 4 days of the invoice date. Once we have received your payment, when the meat is ready for pickup (generally 2 – 3 weeks depending on the processing) we will contact you to let you know that you can pick it up. When you pick up your meat at the butcher shop, you will need to pay the butcher for his processing fees if you ordered a steak animal. If you ordered burger, the processing fee will be included in your invoice. You will not be allowed to pick up your meat unless it is completely paid for (our fee and the butcher’s fee).
